Disneyland Christmas 2013: A Christmas Fantasy Parade
It’s that time of year again! A Christmas Fantasy Parade will be marching down the street and it is a not to miss event. Happening twice on busy days around the holidays, the best part of the Disneyland celebration might be the interaction with the live characters that walk Main Street U.S.A.

As the floats come down the street, the excitement of the moment tends to grow. Families declare their territory on the curb and some individuals wait for hours just to have a perfect view. Offering plenty of lights and a great way to celebrate, the holiday parade is one part of the celebration that can shouldn’t be missed.
Slowly moving along the parade route the floats showcase all the popular characters that are found at the Happiest place on earth. Offering some visual fun, you will get the chance to smell some holiday flavors as well. There usually is the hint of gingerbread in the air and the sweet smell of candy is usually wafting in the air.

While the brisk evenings in Anaheim might be a tidbit chilly, don’t expect it to be cold enough to snow (man-made snow is an entirely different story). A jacket and hat will be perfect for the evening and if you decide not to get a hot beverage, then a pair of gloves is a good idea too.
If you are looking for an added benefit, make sure you take time to schedule a stop to pick up a cup of hot chocolate and a cookie. It’s a memory that the kids won’t ever forget.
BEST PLACE TO WATCH A CHRISTMAS FANTASY PARADE
There really is NO bad place to view the Disneyland Parade. Just make sure you have an unobstructed view in front of you and no overzealous tourists with square tablets shooting video to your side. Once the parade starts, expect the crowd to push forward and take all available space.
