Every year the Haunted Mansion is transformed by Skellington and all his friends for a Haunted Mansion Holiday. While the reoccurring decorations are delightful, there is one part of the ride that is always new and that is the centerpiece of the ghost table.
The large room is transformed into a holiday theme and guests get to see the intriguing tree, but it is the gingerbread house that has people gawking from their Doom Buggy. The centerpiece changes every year and it usually has moving pieces so the fans are always impressed. Baked by bakers at the Disneyland Resort, the design is kept under close wraps until the official showing of the gingerbread house is made.
The guests not only get to see a great ginger bread house on the ride, they can smell it too. Using Disney magic, usually the ride offers a fresh smell of the baked goods. Even if you forgot the ginger bread house was coming up on the tour, you would be quickly reminded by the quick discovery of this delightful smell.
